Safe Routes to School Survey for the City of Grand Terrace
The City of Grand Terrace needs community input as it applies for grants that would help improve our students' safety as they travel to and from school. This additional funding would provide the community with improvements that may include building sidewalks and bike lanes; creating Safe Routes to Schools and educating, encouraging, and enforcing the safe use of Grand Terrace streets.
Two surveys available on the city's website will help city staff to better understand current use of streets and routes to school and identify and prioritize needed improvements. They will also gauge the need for bike and pedestrian safety educational programs as well as ways to facilitate the overall health of residents by encouraging walking, biking, running and other active forms of transportation.
Please participate in this effort. The surveys are available at www.grandterrace-ca.gov
